Step into the Shanlinxi Forest Ecological Park, located at an altitude of 1,600 meters, and let the mountain scenery, where green hills embrace and clear waters intertwine, press the pause button on the city's hustle and bustle for you. The park offers different floral landscapes and forest sceneries throughout the four seasons: In spring, peonies, ghost pipes, and wisteria take turns blooming, followed by azaleas in full bloom in May. Summer temperatures are cool and comfortable, making it the perfect time for a refreshing high-mountain forest getaway to heal your mind and body.
The itinerary specially arranges a visit to the "Forgotten Forest" (Wangyou Senlin), a swamp formed after the 921 earthquake blocked the riverbed. The withered standing Japanese cedar trees and the misty atmosphere create a unique secret realm scene, deeply loved by photography enthusiasts. Along the way, you will also pass through the interesting "Twelve Zodiac Bends," where each 180-degree turn is named after a Chinese zodiac animal, and the view unfolds layer by layer as you navigate them. Finally, step into the Japanese-style "Monster Village" (Matsubayashi-cho Yaoguai Cun), concluding your trip amidst its quirky and charming streetscapes, and return to Taichung filled with the freshness of the mountains and a sense of childlike wonder.

- Passing through the “Zodiac Bends”
- Along the winding mountain road known as the “Zodiac Bends,” each 180-degree turn is named after one of the twelve zodiac animals—Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. With every curve, the view opens wider, giving a sense of ascending higher and higher—a unique feature of this scenic highway.
- Wangyou Forest (1 hr)
- Once a pristine forest beside Sun Link Sea, this area became a marshland after the 1999 earthquake blocked the river. The towering Japanese cedars died from long-term submersion, creating a mysterious and dreamlike landscape that now attracts countless tourists and photographers.
- Lunch (1 hr)
- Sun Link Sea Forest Recreation Area + One-Way Shuttle Ticket (2 hrs)
- In March–April, visitors can enjoy peonies, ghost orchids, and wisteria; in May, rhododendrons are in bloom.
- Located at an altitude of about 1,600 meters, the area’s cool summer temperature averages 20°C. With an area of 34 hectares, its lush forests, flowing streams, and mountain vistas offer a perfect blend of nature and culture throughout all seasons.
- Monster Village (20 min)
- Designed in a charming Japanese style, Monster Village feels like stepping into another world! Beware of the playful forest spirits—Kuma and Badou—and don’t miss the quirky “Demon Post Office.”
- 17:30–18:30 Return to Taichung City drop-off points

1.Meeting times will be confirmed one day prior to departure.
2.Departure: Daily (except during Lunar New Year and national consecutive holidays).
3.The duration of each sightseeing stop is for reference only. In case of traffic congestion,
the company reserves the right to adjust the schedule or change the visiting order as

4.The tour mainly uses 9-seater vehicles. Vehicle type will be arranged based on the final
number of participants.

7.In case of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the company reserves the
right to cancel or modify the itinerary.
8.If the tour is canceled due to natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, or heavy rain,
the company reserves the right to postpone departure or offer a full refund.
9.Participants are advised to wear light, comfortable clothing and shoes,and bring appropriate
warm layers for cooler temperatures.
10.Please do not bring pets on the tour in order to maintain public hygiene and prevent the
spread of infectious diseases.
(Pets are not allowed in vehicles, hotels, or restaurants. Guide dogs are exempted.)
11.Please bring a light raincoat and water bottle, sun hat or umbrella, warm jacket (for cool
air-conditioning on the bus or lower temperatures in mountain and coastal areas), camera,
batteries, charger, and personal medication (such as motion sickness or cold medicine).
