Keelung Miaokou Night Market

Keelung's Miaokou (lit. temple entrance) Night Market is located in the center of Keelung City. This old and lively market is famous throughout Taiwan for its large selection of food. It meanders through lanes and alleys in the downtown area surrounding the Dianji Temple. It is known for having a diverse array of food ranging from fresh-caught seafood to peanut flavored ice in a fairly dense night market. Some famous dishes include tempura, dingbiancuo (portside scrapings), sandwiches, chicken rolls, butter crab, thick bean-sprout soup, fresh seafood, pork knuckle, braised eel soup, bubble ice, etc.
